PACIFIC LINES is a series by JohnPaul Morris, captured in 2021, published 2023.

This series is the product of a commitment, to drive the entire United States Pacific Coast, boarder to boarder, from Mexico and Canada.
The 40 day, 10,000 mile trip started in Michigan, through the mountains, desert, and sequoias, to the southern border and up along Highway 1 as it winds its way through California, Oregon, and finally Washington to the northern border.
The journey was not intended to produce a photography series.
JohnPaul learned to shoot film photography from his dad in 2009 on the camera handed down from when his parents first met. It was the camera that had captured their engagement, final days of college, starting a family and that family growing up. The family is still growing. It’s no longer the only camera that JohnPaul shoots with, but he still insists on using it as his primary way of taking photographs.
